SLV Now Officially Supports DoubleZero — Deploy, Operate, and Migrate Solana Validators with DoubleZero Through AI Agent Conversations, Freeing Operators from the Overhead of Managing Two Separate Clients

2026.04.08
ELSOUL LABO B.V. (Headquarters: Amsterdam, Netherlands; CEO: Fumitake Kawasaki) and Validators DAO are pleased to announce that SLV, the open-source Solana development tool, now officially supports DoubleZero deployment, operation, and migration.
With this update, SLV users can complete the entire DoubleZero workflow — from initial deployment through daily operation and no-downtime migration — using either natural language conversations with an AI agent or direct CLI operation. Operators are freed from the overhead of having to learn a separate CLI and manage a second process alongside their Solana validator client.

What is DoubleZero — A Dedicated Fiber Network for Faster Solana Communication

DoubleZero is a dedicated fiber network purpose-built for blockchain validator communication. By bypassing the public internet and routing validator data over independent high-performance fiber links, DoubleZero reduces latency and suppresses jitter. Specialized hardware at the network edge filters out duplicate transactions and spam traffic, further reducing the processing load on validators.
Connecting to DoubleZero directly improves a Solana validator's key performance metrics — vote success rate, vote latency, and skip rate. For validator operators contributing to the Solana network, DoubleZero has become an important option for performance optimization.

The Previous Pain Point — The Overhead of Managing Two Clients

Adopting DoubleZero previously required installing client software separate from Agave or Firedancer and operating an independent CLI. Validator operators had to learn a second CLI on top of their Solana validator client and manage two processes in parallel.
Daily operation also accumulated small but critical tasks. Checking balances for fee payments, topping up funds when needed, updating the client, restarting after incidents — each task is minor on its own, but easy to forget, and the moment one is forgotten, the connection drops.
The biggest burden was the combination with no-downtime migration. For operators who carefully plan migrations to minimize validator downtime, every migration required restarting the DoubleZero client and re-establishing the connection by hand. Adding DoubleZero client handling on top of the Solana validator migration procedure increased the total number of steps and amplified the risk of human error.

How SLV Solves It — One Conversation with the AI Agent

With SLV's DoubleZero support, all of these tasks can be completed through a conversation with the AI agent. Simply launch the AI Console and say something like "Connect this validator to DoubleZero," and the AI agent will select and execute the necessary steps.
SLV runs the DoubleZero client as a parallel process alongside Agave / Firedancer, handling configuration file generation, process monitoring, and automatic restart on failure. Because DoubleZero is integrated into the same operational foundation as the validator client, users no longer need to switch between two separate CLIs. SLV also provides corresponding commands for CLI-oriented users, fully supporting workflows that do not involve AI agents.
Fund management can also be delegated to the AI agent. The balance threshold, top-up amount, and payment currency (SOL by default) are all configurable on the user side, and the scope of automation can be tuned to match each operator's policy. Tasks where human error was most likely to occur are now continuously managed by the AI agent as part of the operational cycle.

Also Convenient for No-Downtime Migration

This DoubleZero support also represents a meaningful improvement for users running SLV's no-downtime migration.
After switching identity on the new node, operators can ask the AI agent to restart the DoubleZero client and confirm the reconnection. The DoubleZero handling that previously had to be performed manually during every migration now flows naturally as part of the migration process.
No-downtime migration directly contributes to reducing total downtime across the Solana chain, but it has historically required advanced configuration and specialized know-how. SLV provides no-downtime migration as a tool that anyone can adopt as a matter of course, contributing to the overall maintenance quality of the Solana network. This DoubleZero support is one improvement positioned within that broader context.

Performance Backed by Results — Epics DAO Validator Ranked World #3

Epics DAO Validator World Top3
The Epics DAO validator, operated as the source of ERPC's SWQoS endpoint and Epic Shreds, has reached world rank #3 (score 99.93) in the Shinobi Performance Pool among all Solana validators, with vote-related scores exceeding 99%.
This result is the cumulative outcome of multiple improvements: hardware selection, kernel parameter optimization, network stack tuning, IRQ affinity adjustment, and the adoption of DoubleZero. SLV's DoubleZero support delivers these proven optimization practices — refined through world-class validator operation — in a form that anyone can reproduce.

Responding to SLV User Feedback

The Validators DAO official Discord receives daily feedback from SLV users. Requests from operators running validators in production are concrete and rooted in real operational needs: support for custom clients, support for various operational extensions, and so on.
DoubleZero support is part of our response to that feedback. As the range of clients and tools supported by SLV expands, more users can choose SLV as their operational foundation and benefit from natural-language Solana node operation through AI agents. The cost of launching and operating Solana validators is structurally reduced through AI agent integration.

Roadmap — SHA256 Optimization Patches and Solana Custom Clients

SLV will continue to address a wide range of user needs.
The integration of SHA256 optimization patches is planned for this month. Various Vote Mods, Solana custom clients, and other supported extensions will be addressed sequentially from next month through summer. By incorporating the extensions that are actually used in production validator operation, SLV is building the foundation for more operators to migrate to AI-agent-based operational environments.

Both CLI and AI Agent — Stability Underpins Both

SLV - The AI Agent Kit for Solana Devs
SLV operates stably not only as an AI agent but also as a CLI. For users who prefer not to rely on AI agents, or who want to integrate SLV into scripted automation flows, SLV remains a practical operational foundation.
This CLI-level stability is precisely what underpins the reliability of AI agent operation. Every SLV feature is MCP (Model Context Protocol) compatible, and the AI agent invokes the same interfaces through MCP that the CLI does. When the CLI is stable, the AI agent is stable — this design principle is what guarantees the reliability of SLV's AI agent operation.

A Validator Operated From a Single Smartphone

With AI agent operation now a reality, the environment for running Solana validators is fundamentally changing. As long as you have an ssh client, you can connect to a node from a single smartphone and conduct everything — building, operating, and adopting DoubleZero on a validator — through conversations with the AI agent.
Validator operation, which has long required deep Linux knowledge and CLI fluency, has entered an era where it can be completed through natural-language dialogue. You no longer need to be at your desk; even on the move, the operations you need can be delegated to the AI agent.

Get Started Now with SLV AI Tokens

SLV's AI agent runs on SLV AI tokens. To celebrate this release, we are distributing 100,000 tokens for free with a €5 authorization. This is enough volume to experience DoubleZero support through conversations with the AI agent.
Connections via ChatGPT and Claude API tokens are also supported, so you can run SLV AI with your own API keys.

In Combination with the ERPC Platform

ERPC has already integrated DoubleZero's dedicated fiber network across all regions, achieving a P99 latency reduction of approximately 200ms in the Asia regions (Tokyo and Singapore). Deploying environments built with SLV onto the ERPC platform lets users benefit from both the platform-wide DoubleZero integration and SLV's DoubleZero operation automation, with no additional configuration required.
SLV's DoubleZero support also works outside the ERPC platform. Users running Solana validators on third-party bare metal environments or in their own data centers can also use SLV to adopt DoubleZero and automate its operation. Functionality has been verified on DoubleZero-compatible data centers, and all ERPC resources are DoubleZero-compatible.

Accelerating Your Business

SLV accelerates your business by having the AI agent take over the operational work that is not the main focus of your business — the repetitive, complex tasks of running Solana validators and RPC nodes. You can focus on the strategy and development of your own project.
DoubleZero support is a concrete step toward realizing this principle. A technology you want to adopt for performance improvement should never be held back by operational complexity. SLV will continue to deliver important technologies in the Solana ecosystem in a form that anyone can use through conversations with an AI agent.

Five Consecutive Years of WBSO Approval

ELSOUL LABO has received approval under the Dutch government's R&D support program WBSO for five consecutive years since 2022. The continuous research and development on Solana RPC infrastructure, validator operation orchestration, and AI-agent-based Solana operation environments is implemented directly into the SLV toolset and AI agent. The opening of our Solana-dedicated data center under our own ASN (AS200261), granted by RIPE NCC, is also planned for this month and will support the foundation that SLV AI agents build environments upon.
